Quality Assurance

All products sold are quality checked before collection/delivery.   We thrive in delivering the best for the best value to our customers, however wood is a natural product and is subject to splitting, cracking and warping.  Cracks are only considered a fault and a structural issue if they go through 3/4 of the thickness of the timber.   Timber is a natural material and shades may vary from the website.  Timber may shrink and expand during the winter and summer months. "Shakes" and "Splits" may occur during the hot and humid weathers, however these do not effect the longevity of the product.  Knots are the area where a branch grew and sometimes they can become dislodged. Knot treatment can be purchased from most DIY stores, if this was to happen.

To prolong the life of your Timber products, apply a treatment to stain and seal the timber, repair and inspect your product yearly (advised before the winter season).  Apply a wood filler to any cracks/splits that may appear over the years.  Top Tip: mix in some saw dust to the filler, which will provide a more natural finish.

All our concrete products are sourced from Alans concrete and are quality checked for any defects (cracks) before delivery/collection.  Alans concrete manufactures a wide range of precast concrete fencing units to BS 1722 and BS EN. 12839
